Joel Self
JSOI stands for "Joel Self Outdoor Instructor", so no prizes for guessing who heads up the team! Joel is an avid outdoors-man who's been in the industry for close to two decades and loves nothing more than helping people find their own passion for wild spaces and adventurous activities!
Leanne Ferris
Leanne is a highly experienced instructor with a real love of encouraging folks in activities such as climbing! At every given opportunity Leanne is out in nature whether that be in local woodland or taking her own family off on amazing mountaineering trips to Skye and some other stunning locations too!
Rachel Curtis
Rachel is a climber with true passion for promoting the sport, whether it be through her role as an assistant instructor or her long term goals of moving into the route setting world! When Rachel isn't working or playing at the climbing walls she can often be found in her family owned gun shop where she helps those with a love of country pursuits!
James Cullingford
James is a strong climber with a solid foundation in the sport having climbed extensively indoors and out! He has a passion for pushing himself to achieve his goals and coaching others to achieve theirs too!
Dave Mugglestone
Dave is an Instructor with a wealth of experience, especially in the delivery of team building challenges and country pursuits! He's travelled the country working with the most varied of groups and delivering a great selection of activities to events both big and small!
Arthur Davies
Arthur may be a young member of the team, but don't underestimate him, he's a well accomplished climber, mountain biker and all-round adventurer! Having already undergone qualifications with Mountain Training and taken on epic trips in the UK and abroad going mountaineering as well as all manner of other adventures too!
Nat Wilson
Simply put, Nat is built of tougher stuff! A hardy adventurer with experience in an astonishing mix of sports and outdoor activities. Not only that, but Nat also has a real passion and long term goal to join the Royal Navy, who frankly, would be lucky to have her!

Drew is a fun loving instructor who, when not tackling the high seas, can be found climbing, doing a bit of archery or shooting - generally just enjoying being out in the fresh air! With experience running activities as varied as coasteering and Archery he's a great asset to the JSOI Team! 
George Rich
George is a long term adventuring pal and climbing partner of Joel's who works as a full time vet but spends his down time climbing, trail running, route setting and traveling around the globe on some pretty epic adventures!
Ralph Whittaker
Ralph is an avid adventurer, having been involved in hiking, climbing, Caving, Shooting and Archery over the years his skills both personally and professionally are well rounded. He's always equiped with a smile and ready to help with your next excursion!
Sian Hunt
Sian, who grew up in the foothills of the Himalayas, is no stranger to adventures, both great and small! Not only that but her ever creative and outdoor loving lifestyle means you'll likely encounter her on our Holiday club days and Country Craft activities!
Jaz Dempsey
Jaz, a globe-trotting explorer of all places where dogs may be encountered! Though not a fan of mud (would you believe it given the picture?!) Jaz often helps with the delivery of our indoor climbing sessions and Holiday club days!
Josh Hunt
The youngest member of the team, Josh's adventures are often related to the opportunities afforded to him by his school, for example taking part in the formidable Ten Tors events! Josh does a fair few 'behind the scenes' jobs as part of the team, including route setting, equipment maintenance and hold washing!
Matty Brunskill
A fun loving and easy going climber who's passions have led him on all manner of fun and interesting adventures and also into the world to teaching too! As a qualified route setter, Matty does a great job of bringing some of that adventure into the indoor walls with him!
